First-Timer & Visiting Athlete Checklist
Call or Text Professor David First: (407) 434-1685
Every student and visiting drop-in is screened by Professor David Floridia before stepping onto the mats. A quick 2-minute phone call ensures you arrive at the right room with loaner gear ready.
What to Wear for Your First Gi or No-Gi Session
For No-Gi or Cardio Kickboxing, bring a snug rashguard or athletic t-shirt and board shorts or spats without pockets, zippers, or metal clasps. For Gi classes, bring a clean kimono if you own one, or ask Professor David to set aside a loaner Gi.
Hygiene & Barefoot Mat Protocol
Our royal blue Fuji mats are sanitized daily. Bring flip-flops or slides to wear anytime you step off the mat edge, keep finger and toenails trimmed short, and always wash training gear immediately after class.
Out-of-Town Drop-Ins, Law Enforcement & Pro Wrestlers
We welcome traveling BJJ students of all affiliations, military and law enforcement personnel, and visiting pro wrestlers in town for television tapings or shows.
